| Nokia E72 Initial Thoughts and Picture Gallery Posted: 09 Dec 2009 12:57 AM PST
To start with, E72 is the much awaited upgrade over Nokia's E71, which when launched was one of the most popular phones from the Finnish giant. The E71 was sleek, had QWERTY keypad and was a true business phone. E72 carries the tradition forward from the E71 with a lot of enhancements. To start with, the phone is pretty fast in terms of response, has 3.5G connectivity, 5 meg snapper, social networking and improved messaging platform integration. The E72's design and build are a combination of plastic, chrome and steel battery cover. The chrome makes sure that your finger prints stay on the phone, if you don't keep wiping them regularly. Some of the things that i immediately liked when I started playing around the phone are, The Phone's robust design; Some things, which are new to the E72 are or are missing are, Optical Navigation Key (you will get used to it in a while but I liked it and you also have an option of turning it off.); Check out the Unboxing pics below.
This is the locker is which the phone came. I was supposed to crack the code (BTW the code was 1992), but India customs beat me to that.
The sleek green box that housed the accessories was pretty cool with a soft cloth lining from the inside. They also sent a mobile device charger, if you are on constant move.
How you response is who you are.
With hell Lotta accessories.
It also came with a sleek bluetooth headset.
Mobile Device charger.
Comes with a sleek leather cover that enhances the look of the phone.
This one was made in Finland!!! Now I will let the pictures do the talking....the phone looks so cool, sexy, retro in the black and steel combo. Sometimes, while I was clicking the snaps, it reminded me of Blackberry.
5 mega pixel camera with one single LED flash :-( ..the loudspeaker also lies adjacent to the camera, which is very unusual.

First of all thanks to guys over at the WOMWorld for letting me take part in the Nokia E72 Unboxing challenge. To keep a long story short, me and other three bloggers were supposed to get a Nokia E72, which was locked in a transparent acrylic locker and we had to solve clues and get our hands on the Nokia E72. But thanks to Great Indian customs officials, who have become alert after the 26/11 bombings in Mumbai, the unboxing challenge got over at the airport where the package was already opened including the locker. But then, I get to play around with the Nokia E72 and a heartfelt sorry to the WOM guys for this mess up.
