To promote its recently launched Omnia HD, Samsung has come up with a contest called, "Ambassador for Omnia HD". Omnia HD was launched by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress 2009. Omnia HD runs on Symbian S60 v5 and not on Windows Mobile. The phone is sleek with HD resolution that makes viewing on the phone a bliss. Apart from that it is the first phone available in the market today that has the capability to record video in HD, who needs HD camcorders now!! Anyway, the rest of the features include, GPS, DivX support, HDMI support, 3.5mm standard headphone jack, Wi-Fi connectivity with DLNA. Coming back to the contest, the 50 lucky winners of this contest will get the Omnia HD much before the phone hits the stores and they can play around with this phone. You can fill the form here till March 27. The lucky winners will be contacted by Samsung and they need to fulfill a secret mission that will start from mid-April and go on till end of June. Good strategy by Samsung to promote the HD and get users hooked to it. I am also filling up the form as this is a globally valid competition. |
| Video: Jai Ho Song feat. Nicole Scherzinger and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Posted: 18 Mar 2009 10:07 PM PDT
This is the Pussycat Dolls version of the popular song, "Jai Ho" composed by the ace musician of our times, A.R. Rahman and Gulzar. Its called "You are my destiny". They have kind of screwed the song, the original "Jai Ho" song is much better. Nicole looks hot in the song and look what we have in the video, Nicole's friends shooting her video using the recently launched Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This is not the first connection between Nokia and A.R.Rahman, they also teamed up for a XpressMusic campaign some time back. So we have Nicole here in the video dancing and getting pictured by a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic but her boyfriend and F1 Car Driver, Lewis Hamilton supports another touch screen device, the Blackberry Storm!! The embedding of this video is disabled :-(. You can watch the video by clicking here and watch the making of the video here. |

| Posted: 18 Mar 2009 06:59 PM PDT Do you guys remember the MOSH service that was launched by Nokia in the year 2007? Well according to Reuters, Nokia will be closing down this service. MOSH is a mobile social networking website, which lets registered users to share mobile content like games, videos, applications, music and docs and all this is free of cost. You can either connect to the Nokia MOSH website through your mobile browser or you can download a 250kb MOSH application on your phone. This free of cost application, helps you in the searching, browsing, uploading of mobile related stuff, which you want to share or download. Well that said and done, I guess Nokia was pretty successful with MOSH and the only reason behind closing down MOSH is Nokia vision as an Internet services company and its Ovi store. |
