| MWC 2009: Nokia N86 Launched, Officially Posted: 17 Feb 2009 04:08 AM PST
After a lot of leaking that happened in the last two days, Nokia has finally officially released its first N Series phone with a 8 mega pixel snapper, the N86. The N86 surfaced at the Nokia Showcase 2009 in Singapore. Nokia has finally entered into the 8 mega pixel race and will now face Samsung, Sony Ericsson as its competitors, who have already launched their high resolution camera phones. Carl Ziess is the lens provider for the N86 and the camera features a 3rd generation dual LED flash technology. Nokia says that the camera in the N86 can be compared to a stand-alone high end digital camera. The resolution is backed by 2.6 inch OLED QVGA screen with hardened glass, so that you don't get any scratches on your phone's display..this is something really cool. Hardened scratch glass you get to see only in premium or costly phones like the Vertus and the Porsches. The phone has a beefed up 8GB in-built memory with microSD card support. Apart from this, N86 boasts of GPS, WiFi, TV Our, compass functionality, HSDPA. As leaked earlier the phone will be shipping out in the second quarter of 2009 with a price tag of INR 23K. Check out the interview below, which tells you more about the N86: |
