HTC Sapphire is Android Based G2 Posted: 24 Jan 2009 09:24 PM PST With news of Huawei launching their Android phone in the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2009, HTC will soon be launching its second Android based handset, the G2. The G2's code name is Sapphire, like its was Dream for the G1. The HTC Sapphire or the G2 is rumored to be released around May this year. You never know, HTC might showcase this phone at the Mobile World Congress. The G2 will not be having a keyboard and will sport a 3.2 mega pixel snapper. This year's Mobile World Congress will see some good phones that will be showcased including the Nokia N97, XpressMusic 5730, E75, Palm Pre, Huawei Android phone and the HTC Sapphire.
