| Nokia 2710 Is The Cheapest Navigation Phone Around Posted: 07 Dec 2009 05:11 AM PST
Nokia has launched one more low cost phone, the Nokia 2710. The USP is that this one is the cheapest GPS phone that is available in the market at the price point of 110 Euros or INR 7,500 . Navigation as a service is being used by a lot of people on their mobile phones, especially in developed as well as developing nations. With this phone, Nokia has targeted the user who don't want to shell out much cash to buy costly phones which have a navigation feature. This phone will come loaded with Nokia Maps and has straight line navigation with an integrated digital compass. It has turn by turn navigation with voice guidance feature. With this phone, Nokia is targeting mobile users in developing countries like India. One more smart move from Nokia is that, it has incorporated some maps which can be accessed even if there is no connectivity to the GPS or Internet (Nokia will incorporate local maps of the region where it is selling the phone). The maps will be pre-loaded on the 2GB memory card, which comes with the phone. Nokia will also be giving a car kit kit that includes, car charger as well as a car cradle. Other features include, 2.2 inch screen, access to Ovi store, 2 meg snapper, Instant messaging, Ovi Mail and 18 day stand-by mode when fully charged. The phone will be available in Q2 2010.
