| ProCamera is Back With Zoom for iPhone OS 3.1 Posted: 29 Sep 2009 02:39 AM PDT ProCamera is a very high end app for iPhone and it is compatible with iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. OS 3.1-compatible version of ProCamera is now out there and is very useful for the mobile photographer in you. ProCamera 2.1 introduces full-resolution Digital Zoom, while other camera apps are trying to fake a zoom function by cropping and resizing a screenshot. Check out the features of ProCamera below, 1. DIGITAL ZOOM With ProCamera 2.1, your iPhone finally gets a zoom function, one of the most-requested features since the iPhone has been released. ProCamera 2.1 gives you a full-resolution 4x zoom function without quality loss. 2. STEADY SHOT MODE As a hardware-based Image-Stabilizer-System ProCamera uses the iPhone's accelerometer to determine a steady moment while you are focussing on your photo subject. This works similar to the Shake-Free-Function expensive digital cameras provide. 3. TILTMETER (HORIZON GUIDE) ProCamera also supports you with a tiltmeter, indicating the current position/angle of your iPhone relative to "horizon level". With this rotating cross-hair you are able to allign your images more creatively, or simply ensure to hold the iPhone straightly. There are only a few High-End DSLR Cameras in the world providing this feature! 4. SELF TIMER And of course there is a self timer option for self-portraits and group photos with your whole family, including you. Works also great with the help of an iPhone Universal Dock on a table. Imagine the new opportunities being given! 5. BIG PHOTO BUTTON As a must-have to complete a full-featured camera application, you can use the whole screen to instantly snap a picture anytime in each capture mode. That means, after you have chosen the Self Timer or the Steady Shot Mode, something happens and you need the picture to be taken instantly, simply tap anywhere on the preview screen to override the chosen mode and to capture the precious moment. With the use of the BIG PHOTO BUTTON, it is much easier to take self-portraits because you don't have to concentrate on tapping the right button. 6. HIGH SPEED SAVING ProCamera uses the multithreading-method to minimize saving time even at high quality and maximum resolution. The photos will be saved in the background so that you are able to snap the next photo right away without waiting. Something you had to accept with other 3rd-party camera apps. 7. FULLSCREEN PREVIEW vs. AUTO-SAVE After you have taken a picture, you will see a Preview of it. You can choose to save or discard the picture. By switching the preview mode off in the settings, all pictures will be saved automatically. Auto-save accelerates the process of taking several photos even further. 8. GRID-GUIDE For further orientation and allignment, we integrated a grid-guide into the Preview screen of ProCamera 2.1, helping you to place objects in the right spot and angle of the picture. You can switch it on/off in the settings. 9. EXTREME CLOSE-UP IMAGES (MACRO IMAGES) Ever wanted to capture a note or a business card as a reminder? Combined with Griffin's Clarifi Case - a protection case with integrated macrolens - you can! With the iPhone 3Gs, you can achieve a remarkable difference by using the Steadyshot-Mode for close-ups.. 10. NIGHT IMAGES Even in low-light environments there is remarkable difference in the results, allowing you to shoot pictures, which would have been more blurry without using ProCamera. Download ProCamera from iTunes Store. The application is not free and will cost you $2.99. |
