N97 Mini Coming to India in October2009

N97 MIni.jpgNokia released the mini version of the N97 called the Nokia N97 Mini at the Nokia world event recently. N97 Mini is the shaved down version of the N97, which has left many of us confused about why did Nokia launch the N97 Mini in first place when it already has the N97. Well, the answer came from Nokia and according to them N97 Mini has many changes in terms of ergonomics and the materials used and it targets the young style conscious bunch of mobile users. Anyway, now the good news is that, FoneArena has learnt the N97 Mini's debut date in India and it will be sometime in the month of October


3G License Auction Kicks-off in India from 7th December

The 3G auction is finally happening in India and kick off on 7th December 2009. Mobile phone users as well as many other Indian companies in the mobile space are waiting for this to happen. Companies like AirTel have already tested their 3G based applications by tying up with some partners and other companies. the auction will be staring on the 7th of December and the Pre-auction price of the 3G spectrum is INR 3,500 crore. [Via] With the 3G auction date announced I am sure that big mobile space players like Nokia, Samsung, AirTel, Vodafone etc will be gearing up for this 3G roll out and pumping more 3G based products and services in the Indian mobile space.


Nokia Erdos is the New Kid on the Premium Phone Block

The Finnish manufacturer, is planning for an ultra premium handset launch in the month of October. No, this one does not belong to Nokia's Vertu brand but looks more like an upgrade of the Nokia 8800 Arte. Named as the Erdos, it will target premium and high profile users who think that spending shit loads of money on phones is the next big thing. Like the 8800, Erdos, has a sliding keypad cover and the moment you slide it, the keypad comes up to match the displays level. The Symbian S60 based phone will come with a 8GB on-board memory (no memory slot), glass covered display, 2.4" OLED screen, 5 meg snapper with Carl Zeiss tech, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Stereo Bluetooth. high speed USB and supports micro USB charging.

The dude is this video makes a mini robot, which can be controlled using Bluetooth and uses his Nokia 6210 Classic to control the robot. He does it using Python on Symbian S60. I kind of liked the background music track.
