The Nokia World Event is approaching fast and will be held in the month of September 2009 at Amsterdam. Like past Nokia World Events, which gave us handsets like the N97, this event will also be special as lot of new handsets would be officially announced by Nokia. The biggest announcement at this event is supposedly of the new C Series and X Series phones by Nokia. Nokia C Series will be for users who are looking for features like Wi-Fi, E Mail, Messaging client, synchronization etc and X Series would target the multimedia mobile phone users. Mobile bloggers across the world including me stumbled across this piece of info sometime back, which specified that Nokia had trademarked these names long time back. As I told above about what C Series and X Series will stand for, there is also a rumor going around that Nokia will drop its N Series and E Series names from the portfolio, which I think is just a rumor because today, N Series and E Series, phones have given Nokia a particular status in the minds of users who are looking for mobile phones to satisfy their multimedia as well as business needs and Nokia has already trademarked lot of E Series handset names. Lets wait and watch whats in store this year at the Nokia World Event 2009. And I know that, before some of the handsets are announced officially they will certainly surface in the form of leaks and spy photos.

BOLT Mobile Browser Serves 104 Million Page Views

boltlogo copy.jpgWith tons of free mobile Internet browsers out there, some browsers like BOLT and Opera have left their mark on the minds of mobile Internet users. BOLT, which made its debut six months ago on the mobile scene has served whooping 100 million page views since its launch. BOLT mobile browser is one of the fastest mobile Internet browsers around and I can vouch for that, because I have BOLT running on my Nokia N79 and I am very happy with the performance. The company behind BOLT has said that the average use of BOLT has tripled. One of the most important feature that makes BOLT preferable over its competitors is its desktop like Internet browsing experience, where full websites are displayed. Other striking features include, fast interface, streaming of video and other multimedia content from site like YouTube, streaming of flash video, rich media as fast as on any desktop browser, copy-paste function. With some many features and such popularity the browser is still in Beta and getting better day by day. BOLT Browser for iPhone is the next best and big thing I guess.
