After the rural mobile phone users in India crossed the 100 million mark, the AirTel is the one to cross the 100 million mark in the Indian mobile phone market. AirTel, India's leading mobile services company, has reached 102.37 million subscribers.Bharti AirTel commands 32% of the market and is followed by Vodafone Essar, BSNL and IDEA who command 24%, 16% and 15% of the market respectively.Among the rest, Aircel from Southern part of India has one of the highest growth rate in terms of market share. The company has come up with aggressive marketing strategies and has roped in Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its brand ambassador, who is a hot property these days dues to his boyish charm and gentleman like charisma. AirTel is way ahead of its nearest competitor Vodafone in terms of market share and both the companies invest heavily in marketing strategies with their ads leaving a lasting impressions on a viewers minds.
