With the touch screen phone wars getting hotter these days, the HTC Touch Pro 2 is the newest kid on the block to challenge the likes of Nokia N97 and the iPhone [ePrice]. HTC Touch Pro 2 is the successor of the HTC Touch Pro. The HTC Touch Pro 2 looks a bit like the N97, especially the siding form factor. Th phone supports a 3.6 inch WVGA touch screen. The HTC Touch Pro 2 targets the business user with its easy to set-up email feature and conference calling feature. The phone also has touch sensitive zoom in and zoom out buttons.

| Sony Ericsson Launches W995 in Europe Posted: 25 May 2009 08:03 AM PDT
Sony Ericsson has launched the much awaited W995 today and the phone will be available across European markets soon. The W995 was launched by Sony Ericsson at the Mobile World Congress 2009 along with Sony Ericsson Idou. Sony Ericsson W995 belongs to Walkman Series of Mobile phones and is a high-end music slider phone. It is a Walkman flagship product for the year 2009. The phone has dedicated music keys, built-in stereo speakers, special stand and a 3.5mm standard head phone jack. Though the phone belongs to the Walkman series, it has a massive 8 mega pixel snapper. The phone will be available in Progressive Black, Cosmic Silver and Energetic Red. I guess, of the three colors, Progressive Black looks the sexiest. 2009 has been a real bad year for Sony Ericsson and the company is in major losses, hope this W995 brings good old days of Sony Ericsson back. You can also try the W995 on an online simulation website here. There is no information on when will the phone be available in markets other than Europe. |

If you though that high-definition camcorders were just moving in then you were wrong, they are past and mobiles with high-definition recording features are today's reality. Check out the world's first camera phone that has the ability to recording videos at astonishingly 720/30p in High-Definition. The phone is called, Mobile Cam-Vision WOOO from Hitachi, pretty long name huh!! We will call it Hitachi WOOO. The phone uses a 3GPP2 video codec to record in 720p. The output though not that great as compared to your feature packed HD camera but will surprise you with its crispy and clear resolution. The phone also has a 5 mega pixel snapper, wireless msuic feature, 4 hrs of HD recording, 8GB microSD card support. [Akihabara] All images below from Akihabara News.

The phone will be coming to retail shops at the end of May 2009 and will go head to head with the Nokia N97. The Touch Pro 2 has a slim form factor and bigger screen as compared to the Touch Pro. Even the edges of the Touch Pro 2 are rounded and looks bigger than the Touch Pro. Both these phones has a sliding QWERTY keyboard but the keyboard of the Touch Pro 2 looks more like that of the N97 except the big D-Pad.
See I told you the phone looks like a long lost brother of the Nokia N97, "Brother From Another Mother".
