Nokia 6750 Makes it Way to US, Nobody's Heard of it!!

Posted: 09 May 2009 08:46 AM PDT

6750_Mural.jpgNokia is launching this handset along with AT&T only in the North American Market. The handset is the Nokia 6750 Mural. The phone has passed the testing process of the FCC and is all set to release on AT&Ts 3G enabled network. Now, you all know that Nokia phones are not that popular in the US, mobile phones users are crazy about RIM's Blackberry and Apple's iPhone, which are giving tough times to Nokia phones. Anyway, this new 6750 is a flip phone that looks very blingy and the buttons remind me of the Nokia N76, flip N Series phone. I really liked the hi-gloss gun metal kind of look of the phone, guess there will be a smaller screen on the front apart from the main screen inside. The E71 kind of steely look really looks good and may be Nokia is trying to replicate it here with Mural. Though the phone is called the 6750, it has external button for music playback, so this phone must belong to either the N Series or the XpressMusic range. [Via] By the way Mural means a piece of artwork on large surface.

Rumor: Nokia 5900 is the newest Touch screen with 5 megs and wide screen

Posted: 09 May 2009 02:35 AM PDT

5900_1.jpgThis picture is of the rumored new phone from Nokia, the Nokia 5900, which got leaked yesterday on a Chinese site related to mobile phones. The pictures of the phone are everywhere now. As the name says, the phone is the successor of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the first touch screen from Nokia, which did pretty well, though it failed to kill the popularity of the iPhone, I guess people started liking the iPhone's touch screen more after they used the Nokia 5800. Anyway, Nokia 5900 has a more advanced capacitative touch screen, 3.5 inch screen, Symbian S60 version 5 touch UI and the phone seems to be slimmer than the Nokia 5800. You can also see the words XpressMusic written on the top right corner of the phone, they way they are written on the Nokia 5800. If you check out the front of the phone, there are just three buttons, like the Nokia 5800 but this time Nokia has marked the buttons properly (Nokia 5800 had just three buttons in the form of dashes, Red, Green and Blue). It seems that, when designing these buttons, Nokia took inspiration from Samsung. Some of the fully touch screen phones from Samsung have these kind of buttons.

Anyway, there is still a question mark about the authenticity of this phone and as always it happens with leaks and rumors, there is no official word from Nokia on this phone. But I have a strong feeling that this phone is from Nokia and its the successor of the Nokia 5800, the proof being the red and blue thin lines that run around the border of the phone, just like the Nokia 5800, the back side of the phone is very similar to the Nokia 5800. The phone is wider than the Nokia 5800 and if you look at the white one, it looks a bit like the white E71. By the way, there was a news that, Nokia is planning to get capacitative touch screen for the Nokia 5800, you never know, Nokia just made a new phone!!!
