US Universities Make iPhone and iPod Touch Mandatory For Students

Posted: 06 May 2009 07:18 PM PDT

Its not new for Universities and colleges to make things like Laptops and Notebook computers compulsory for students. These gadgets compliment their academics. But some of the universities in the US of A have started making it mandatory for students to own a iPhone or the iPod touch. New students taking admissions this fall will be asked to carry either an iPhone or the iPod touch along with them. The University of Missouri and Houston Community College are some of the few colleges who have gone ahead and adopted this as these colleges will have classes delivered as podcasts through the iTunes store and these universities are also in the process of adopting Apple's other hardware products. This seems to be a very innovative approach from the universities as they want to be in-sync with their students who are hooked to an iPhone or the iPod touch. Apple will be the happiest of them all. E71i to Have 5 Mega Pixel Snapper with Feature Pack 2

Posted: 05 May 2009 07:24 PM PDT

E71 is one of the most successful E Series phone from Nokia and also probably joins the list of successful Nokia phones. It is one of most reliable and rugged smart phones from Nokia, probably E75 comes close to it or even surpasses it. Looking at the track record of the E71, Nokia is now planning to introduce an upgraded version of the E71 and will call it as the E71i just like the E61i. This news/rumor has come from a very trusted source in the world of mobile phone blogging, Eldar Murtazin for Mobile-Review, so you gotta trust it.

Not much details are available at this point of time, but E71i will feature a 5 mega pixel snapper (E71 ha 3.2 mega pixel snapper) and Symbian S60 Feature Pack 2. This indeed in a minor upgrade and not much other upgrade details are available. Also, the phone will be available in a new color combination of brown/mocha, so that people will know that you are carrying the E71i and not the E71 ;-).
