| First Android Based Phone from Samsung, I7500 Posted: 26 Apr 2009 09:50 AM PDT Samsung will soon be launching its first Android based mobile phone on O2. Named as the I7500, it will have a AMOLED screen,Android 1.5 (Cupcake, Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Dual band UMTS/HSPA connectivity, 3.2 inch OLED Display capacitive touchscreen display with HVGA (480 x 320) resolution, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5MP camera with LED flash, 3.5mm headset jack,528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A CPU, 8GB of internal memory, microSD card support. There was a news that leaked saying that, Samsung would launch Omnia nased on Android but then this phone does not belong to the Omnia range from Samsung. Samsung is all set to come up with a new touch screen handset this July 2009. Named as the Samsung Omnia Pro, it will be based on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, have a QWERTY keyboard that will slide out. The previous Ominas from Samsung, the i900 and the Omnia HD based on WinMo and Symbian respectrively did not have a physical keyboard. So the new Omnia Pro has some variety as compared to these two phones. Other features of the Omnia Pro, include AMOLED 3.5 inch WVGA display, 5 mega pixel snapper with auto foucs, flash, image stabilizer, and video recording functionality.
