| Android Based G1 Hits the Million Mark Posted: 24 Apr 2009 05:39 AM PDT
"xxx company sold 1 million units since launch". You must have read and heard this statement a lot of times these days. Its a trend these days for mobile phone companies to announce their sales volume about a particular device the moment it crosses the 1 million mark. Thankfully they do this for selective devices from their portfolio of mobile phones. First it was Apple announcing that it had sold more than a million iPhones, then Nokia said that, it sold more than 3 million Nokia 5800 music phone with touch screen. The other company to join the club is T-Mobile who has sold 1 million Android based G1 mobile devices. T-Mobile G1 is the first Android phone that was launched last year. It was one of the most anticipated phones of 2008 due to the Android tag attached to it. As compared to Apple and Nokia, it took a long time for G1 to hit the million mark. Check out the T-Mobile G1 launch pics. |
