Posted: 01 Apr 2009 09:04 AM PDT

After announcing the Nokia Photo Browsing application for the S60 5th Edition Nokia phones, Nokia has announced new features that will go with its well known Nokia messaging service. Now, Nokia Messaging Service will be compatible with Windows Live Hotmail. This service is available for S60 5th Edition phones i.e if you have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic you can try this out. The upcoming Nokia N97 also belongs to the same S60 portfolio so I guess it will also have the same. This service will be available from May. The messaging application is easy to download and install and is compatible with Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, GMail and AOL Mail. Apart from the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the service is available for E75 (first device to have it pre-installed), E63, E71, E66 and the Nokia N79. Other device that will support this service are N97, N86 8MP and E55.

The traffic data for the month of March 2009 is out. Before I go into month on month comparison, I want to thank all my readers for extending their support to NAMP and sticking onto it. I hope that my blog posts have satisfied your hunger for information on mobile phones. Though the traffic numbers are not that much as compared to many popular mobile blogs out there but then we are slowly getting towards it. I would also like to thank my friends, family members and last but not the least, mobile phones OEM and their PR agencies who have always provided me with handsets to review and latest news/information to blog about. Enough of thanking, now let me get back to some real numbers that will tell you NAMP's growth. [Traffic Source - Google Analytics]

Nokia Point and Find Application

Posted: 31 Mar 2009 10:39 PM PDT

Point and find.JPGNokia has introduced an application for camera phones, Point and Find. As the name suggests, you can use this application and click pictures and find more information about whatever you have clicked. Nokia is pushing the use of this application in the US and the UK market and its focus is on movie posters. Users who have this application on their mobile phones can click the image of a movie poster and they will get access to news, reviews, clips for that movie. They will also be able to find the nearest theater where the movie is being played. So how this application works? Well, the application works in-sync with an online database and also with your phone's GPS and then tries to present you the information by the combination of these features. The application also has the ability to read bar codes. As i told earlier the application is available only on select devices of Nokia in the US and UK. If you are in the US or UK you can check out the applications here.
