Leaked: Samsung U490 a.k.a Trance Posted: 23 Mar 2009 07:42 AM PDT A phone getting leaked before it is officially unveiled by the company is nothing new in the mobile phone industry. The recent phone that will be joining the leaked-before-launch bandwagon is the Samsung U490 a.k.a Samsung Trance. The phone will be coming to Verizon in US as of now and will have touch sensitive keys on the top with a slider form factor. Other features include, 1GB internal memory with 16GB memory support using the microSDHC card, 1.3 mega pixel snapper, 3.5mm standard head phone jack, large speaker and Mobile Web 2.0 Internet browser. These models wont get a compatible version of the N Gage gaming application as Nokia feels that the N Gage gaming experience in not satisfactory on these devices. In one way Nokia is right as it does not want users to get hold of something and then feel dissatisfied about it. Better not to have it. So if you plan to experience N Gage gaming on your mobile phones you can get hold of the recent Nokia handsets like N81, N82, N95, N85, N79 and N96. Omnia HD Will Not Have WinMo 6.5 in Future Posted: 22 Mar 2009 07:14 PM PDT If you guys remember, last week some 13 Samsung upcoming touch screen handsets leaked and two of them were the Omnia HD running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 and the other one was an Android based phone from Samsung. Of these two, there is already a clarity that Samsung is not going to launch its first Android based phone till Q3 2009 and Omnia HD won't be available with Windows Mobile running on it. Samsung will make the Omnia HD available on with Symbian OS and use only the brand name Omnia to promote handsets from Samsung running on multiple OSs like WinMo, Symbian and Android. So Samsung Omnia runs on Windows Mobile, Omnia HD runs on Symbian OS and may be going ahead Omnia "X" will run on the Android OS. [Via]
