C905 With 8GB Internal Memory Coming?? Posted: 15 Mar 2009 06:45 PM PDT Remember C905 a.k.a Shiho, the 8 mega pixel imaging monster from Sony Ericsson??? There are strong rumors going around that a new version of this phone will soon be launched by Sony Ericsson. If you are thinking that the new version will have a more enhanced camera then you are wrong. The new version or the rumored version will have 8GB of Internal memory for massive photo storage. Being an Imaging focused phone having a beefed up internal memory is an added advantage for this phone. Other specifications of the Shiho or the C905 include, Cybershot-slider, 8 Mega pixel with AF and optical zoom, Xenon-Flash / Photo-Flash combo, 2,4" QVGA-Display, HSDPA, HSUPA, A-GPS, WLAN, TV/Out (VGA@30fps), Bluetooth 2.1, A300 / A3 platform.

Nokia Simplifies India Operations Posted: 15 Mar 2009 06:26 PM PDT Re-structuring is the buzz word in these days of economic turbulence. Most of the companies are doing it these days to sustain through this troubled environment. Nokia though the market leader in India is no different and also opted for mantra of re-structuring. So from now on Nokia India will have three business segments, Retail. Operator and Marketing. Nokia has let go off the Devices unit, which was responsible for creating the best devices portfolio. From now on Nokia's Services Platform, which rolled under the Ovi brand name will come under the marketing business unit. There is no news on whether Nokia has asked any people to leave as a result of this re-structuring but yeah some changes at the top management have happened but on the positive side. [Via]

Nokia N79 Active Sport Posted: 14 Mar 2009 11:04 PM PDT Nokia has launched one more version of its N79 phone for sports enthusiasts. It is called the Nokia N79 Active Sports function. The phone comes with a active heart rate monitor that is fitted to the belt and it communicates with the phone using Bluetooth technology. The belt lets you to wear the monitor during your workout sessions and it will monitor the heart rate for you, which will help you in keeping a tab on your progress and fitness. By the way you can use it during your make out sessions only to see how much your heart beats for the one you love. OK, I am just kidding with respect to the make out part. The phone also makes sure that you don't get lost while working out as it comes with integrated A-GPS, Nokia Maps and Nokia Sports Tracker. You can plan your routes and also share them with your buddies. This version of Nokia also comes with a sport head phones and arm band. The rest of the versions remain the same. Nokia N79 was launched along with Nokia N85 in August 2008.
