Nokia Music Event: Three new XpressMusic Handsets Launched

Posted: 11 Mar 2009 02:11 AM PDT

In today's " Your Music Player is Ringing " event, Nokia launched three new XpressMusic handsets, Nokia 5030, Nokia 5330 and the much awaited and leaked, Nokia 5730 XpressMusic with slide-out QWERTY keypad. These three handsets leaked hours before a launch on AllAboutMobiles . As told earlier, "Nokia 5030 is a low end candy bar phone and the Nokia 5330 is the successor of the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic . Both Nokia 5030 and 5330 do not have the S60 label on them. Nokia 5030 is more pimped for a FM listener on the move and is called XpressRadio not the XpressMusic and will be priced at just $51 or INR 2650. Thats pretty cool. Nokia 5330 is a slider phone with 3.5mm standard headphone jack and will be priced at $204 or INR 10,461."

5030.jpg Nokia 5030 XpressMusic / XpressRadio brings Radio to all its users. This is a phone that focuses on the users who are addicted to their radios. 5030 has an internal radio antenna (first of its kind from Nokia) and comes at a very cheap price maybe as it was designed in China.he he ..ok I am just kidding. The phone comes with a powerful speaker on the back which makes your radio listening experience a bliss. the other specs are normal and nothing great, what Nokia has highlighted is the radio functionality of this handset, which is designed for the masses.

5730.jpg Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is the other handset, which was launched today and belongs to the XpressMusic range of Nokia handsets. It is the first XpressMusic handset with a QWERTY keyboard. The phones has this keyboard as the slide-out function and it looks really cool. Nokia 5730 blows two trumpets, one that of social sharing and the other of entertainment on the go. 5730 comes loaded with Facebook, Ovi contacts, maps and messaging applications, Flickr, MySpace and YouTube utilities. As a music oriented handset, you can use the handset to download tunes from the Nokia Music Store on the go and surprisingly the handset has dedicated gaming keys though it focuses on enhancing a user's music experience. The phone also has support for N-Gage gaming titles and the new home screen utility seems to be interesting. Other functions include a 3.2 mega pixel snapper, 3.5mm standard headphone jack, 100MB of internal memory and 8GB of external memory support. You will never get lost due to the in-built Nokia Maps and A-GPS application and it also has mail for exchange. So in all, Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a music oriented handset, that connects with your social scene, lets you play games and its email client will make sure that you are touch with the people you know. Its like a close sibling of the E75 that was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2009.

5330.jpgNokia 5330 XpressMusic, a successor of the 5320 XpressMusic, is the third handset that was launched today. It is a slider phone with a unusual design that you might find in very few Nokia phones. The top of the phone is not curved and thats what gives the phone a different look. Like the 5730 XpressMusic, 5330 is a handset that focuses on social tools like Facebook, Ovi and MySpace. The phone has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports up 16GB of external memory on microSDHC card. What I liked about the phone is its big 2.4 inch screen, which looks really cool. Nokia 5330 has touch sensitive music controls on the left side of the mobile phone. Apart from that, the phone sports a 3.2 mega pixel snapper and supports 16GB of external memory. The phone also features Nokia Maps and A-GPS technology.

Nokia-5730-XpressMusic.jpgAs you all must be aware by now that today is the Music related event of Nokia. At this event Nokia will be releasing 3 XpressMusic handsets. I came to know this from a source who works closely with Nokia. One of these handsets is supposedly the 5730 XpressMusic, which leaked on Mobile-Review and people were speculating that it would be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2009. But the handset was never launched even if it got previewed so many times. Now it is almost confirmed that Nokia will be launching the 5730 XpressMusic, I was wondering what will be the other two XpressMusic handsets. Engadget Mobile via All About Mobiles, has came across some source, which says that along with Nokia 5730, the other two XpressMusic handsets would be Nokia 5030 and Nokia 5330. As the name suggests, Nokia 5030 is a low end candy bar phone and the Nokia 5330 might be the successor of the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic. Both Nokia 5030 and 5330 do not have the S60 label on them. Nokia 5030 is more pimped for a FM listener on the move and is called XpressRadio not the XpressMusic and will be priced at just $51 or INR 2650. Thats pretty cool. Nokia 5330 is a slider phone with 3.5mm standard headphone jack and will be priced at $204 or INR 10,461. And about Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, you all know that its a music oriented smart phone with landscape QWERTY keyboard and has leaked many times. Keep a watch on this event that is happening today. By the way, I was wondering, why is Nokia going mad with launching XpressMusic devices?? Haven't they launched too many of those??
