Hot iPhone Posted: 04 Mar 2009 08:33 PM PST Here is case where blogger Tim Colbourne left his iPhone 3G for charging and when he came back after 3 hours it sparked and caught fire at the base, which left his iPhone damaged beyond repair. Check out the picture of the damaged iPhone below : The fire started in the space between the lead and the phone, and resulted in a couple of pins fusing together. Although the main functions of the phone are apparently unaffected, the device won’t connect to the PC which means I can neither charge it nor transfer data. Result: one dead iPhone. I really hope this is an isolated incident and Apple will look into this matter or atleast replace the iPhone . [via:Engadget]
