| Nokia Wants to Monitor Employee E Mails; Threatens to Leave Finland Posted: 01 Feb 2009 05:54 PM PST
It seems that Nokia has expressed its wish to monitor the emails of its employees day in and day out. It is very concerned about trade secrets being leaked out and that is why the company wants this to be adopted as a law. Nokia has also threatened that it will leave Finland if this does not happen. Nokia has submitted this bill called as Lex Nokia and if the bill is not passed then Nokia will leave Finland leaving behind 16000 jobs and $1.3 billion in tax revenue. Don't know what has made Nokia to take such strict decisions. In the world of mobile phones, leaking of key products is not an entirely new thing. Anyway, lets see what happens to this bill, if it goes through or not. [Via: IDG Sweden ] |
