iPhone To iPhone Bluetooth Communication Achieved Posted: 13 Feb 2009 03:06 PM PST The latest big news in iPhone world is work of iPhone developer Ralf Ackermann, who was able to connect two iPhone over bluetooth something which is being missed a lot by iPhone owners. From Arstechnica Ackerman has built external adapters that plug into the iPhone’s connector port and has accessed the phone’s bluetooth stack in a way that could possibly even comply with the standard iPhone SDK. Yes, the connector port is off-limits to the SDK, but the stack access might be achievable if Ackerman has it right. Even so Apple would not likely allow Bluetooth stack programming to make it to App Store, and would likely close up any holes that currently permit access. Although the concept is in pretty early state, but it can be very well a foundation to achieve the full bluetooth capabilities of iPhone, may be without any addon hardware. Its very simple to operate and works pretty well. Using the application you have to set a master password and then simply select the applications your want to lock through lockdown. So, whenever you click on locked app, it will ask the password and will only open the app if password matches, otherwise no access . Please note that Lock down is free and its available in Cydia, which means you must be having a jailbreaked iPhone to download and run this app.

Rumor: iPhone In Matte Black Posted: 12 Feb 2009 10:25 PM PST Again rumors flying around, giving more fuel to the fire about new iPhone coming this June. Newest addition is appearance of a matte black iPhone, which was leaked recently. Inputs from Macrumors This new iPhone case is said to “shed its glossy appearance for a matte black look” and also introduce a new case-back made of metal. The site seems confident in the photo and reminded readers that they were also responsible for publishing an early back-case photo of the iPhone 3G.
