iPhone 2.2.1 Firmware Upgrade Crashes iTunes Posted: 07 Feb 2009 08:50 AM PST If you are facing iTunes crashes while syncing your iPhone then recent your recent iPhone 2.2.1 firmware update can be a culprit. The discussions are going on the apple forums and Apple recognized it and released a formal answer, which is listed below: Dear Customer, Recently, we uncovered an issue which was causing iTunes to unexpectedly quit when synced with an iPod or an iPhone. This issue impacted a small number of users, and we have identified your account as potentially being affected. If you have experienced this issue, please follow these steps in order to sync your iPod or iPhone with iTunes: 1. Launch iTunes 2. Select “Deauthorize Computer” from the Store menu 3. Enter your iTunes Store Account ID and Password, then click the Deauthorize button 4. Next, choose “Authorize Computer” from the Store menu 5. Enter your iTunes Store Account ID and Password, then click the Authorize button Once you have successfully deauthorized and reauthorized your computer, you should be able to sync your iPod or iPhone to iTunes. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced as a result of this issue. Sims3 Coming To iPhone This Summer Posted: 07 Feb 2009 03:39 AM PST First gen Simcity is already out for iPhone is doing pretty well on iPhone gaming scene. And news is coming from EA games that they will be releasing the latest version of Simcity 3 for iPhone in summer 2009. Please note that the PC version of SIMS 3 is still not out and expected to be out in June this year. So its great to hear that big game companies are taking iPhone gaming very seriously and making the iPhone version simultaneously with their PC counterparts. [Via:tuaw]

MTNL 3G Launch In India Runs Into Some Security Troubles Posted: 07 Feb 2009 01:23 AM PST MTNL 3G network just went into trouble after getting launched. MTNL is crying foul and reporting to Department of Telecom (DOT) that some other network is using its spectrum for its test purposes, which is causing disturbance in its network. Names are not out on which network is exactly is causing the problems, but one thing is getting pretty sure that by this year end India will have a decent 3G network( atleast we hope).
