Payback App Promises GTA Type Action On iPhone Posted: 05 Jan 2009 02:11 AM CST Payback is an upcoming gaming app for iPhone and iPod touch which is inspired by GTA and even promises to bring better action then GTA. Some game info from the developer: The game engine supports texture mapping, environment mapping (reflections), distortion mapping, realistic shadows, alpha-channelling (lens flares, explosions and shockwaves), multi-channel 3D sound and spectacular physics. The game has also been translated into many languages. Softbank Releases TV Tuner Accessory For iPhone Posted: 04 Jan 2009 05:56 PM CST First few points about the TV Tuner 1. Its only available in Japan as of now. 2. Its a battery cum 1Seg TV Tuner. 3. You can only watch TV with the Tuner on a WiFi network. 4. It provides you only 1 hour of TV watching. 5. It costs around $108(Rs 5000). All said and done, the TV tuner looks promising, however in India its hard to actually to imagine that this device will be of some use with very limited Wifi connectivity available. It looks genuine, not like some casing modification job but as there is no official announcement from Apple about it.
