Nokia 5800 Coming to India on Jan 3rd Posted: 28 Dec 2008 09:11 PM PST Yesterday's Bangalore Edition of Times of India had a front page diagonal pink colored strip, that said, "Now you will need Touch to listen to your Music". The ad said to SMS Touch to 55555. The moment I saw the ad i was sure that, Nokia is all set to make the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic available through retail stores in India. The SMS campaign is for the pre-booking of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The Nokia 5800 will be coming to India on the 3rd or 4th of Jan and will be priced around Rs. 22,000. The phone is available in Nokia Concept Stores across all major metros including Bangalore. You can go there and check out the different functions of the phone and also pre-book it. Nokia opened the online pre-booking of the phone last week. People are eagerly waiting for this touch screen wonder from Nokia but let me tell you, I have been in touch with some guys who have used this phone and they are not that happy with the touch screen but yeah they are vouching by the music player.
