Sony Ericsson will be partnering with a Taiwanese company, Mobinbova for its future Windows Mobile based mobile devices, Earlier Sony Ericsson partnered with another Taiwan based company, which is pretty popular in the mobile phones, HTC. Sony Ericsson's first flagship Windows mobile based handset, XPERIA X1 was manufactured by HTC. Sony Ericsson will end its partnership with HTC when the current business cycle of XPERIA X1 comes to an end. No reason has been cited by both the companies behind this break-up, may be the guys at Mobinnova are experts in the production of Windows Mobile based handsets and Sony Ericsson is keen on building its reputation in Windows Mobile based smart phones.
